He was predeceased by: his parents, Bailey Simon and Kathryn Middleton Powell; his brothers, Bill and Dave Powell; and his brother-in-law Vince McWilliams.
He is survived by: his wife Vera McWilliams Powell of Cambridge Springs; his children, Lori K. Powell of Cambridge Springs and Daniel R. Powell (Margaret); and his siblings-in-law, Mary Powell, Darlene Powell, Vere McWilliams (Nub) and John McWilliams (Debra). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cambridge Springs Volunteer Fire Department.
