He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Wilbur Smith and Verna Davey Smith; his wife Katharine Mangum Smith; his children, Matthew William Smith of Chuckey and Julie Frances Smith of Edinboro; his granddaughters, Ashley Nicole Smith and Piper Defilippis; and his great grandchildren, Amelia May Harbaugh and Alivia Rose Harbaugh.
