He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy G. Whitmer and Dolores Brenneman Whitmer; and his brother-in-law Timothy "Tim" Colwell. He is survived by: his son Aaron W. Whitmer (Liana Thies) of Erie; and his siblings, Frank Whitmer (Dotti) of Callensburg, Gregory Whitmer (Donna) of Callensburg, Tina Colwell of Knox and Rhoda Roberts of Sandy Lake. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
