He was predeceased by: his parents, Steven Nick and Verna Nick (Semonsky); his son John Paul Nick; his brother Steven; his sister-in-law Lana Nick; his mother-in-law Anna Wolfe (Eddy); and his sisters-in-law, Wendy and Nancy Nick.

He is survived by: his wife Paulette Nick; his son Joel; his daughter-in-law Krissy Nick; his siblings, Frank Nick, Michael Nick and Helen; his brother-in-law Dave Swarrow; and his grandson Elliot Nick. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
