He was predeceased by: his parents, George Hartz and Anna May Hartz (late Cynthia Jane); his daughter Karen Ann Hartz; and his siblings, Betty Jane Jones, Rosalie Owens, Florence Hartz, Anna Marie Hartz, Francis Hartz, George Hartz and Bernard Hartz.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Amanda Mastropolo, Kristina Killian, Matthew Young, Rebecca Young, Brian Hartz, Paul Cinquina, Samuel Mastropietro and Ethan Mastropietro; and his sisters, Mary Louise Foley, Loretta Woodson and Martha Molitor. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
