He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Shaporka and Olga Shaporka (Andras); his former wife Jeane Shaporka (Dwyer); his wife Kathleen Shaporka (Jackson); his siblings, Gary Shaporka and Georgia Ann Shaporka; and his nephew David Shaporka.

He is survived by: his daughter Dawne Crawford (Ernest Crawford, Jr.) of Brownsville, PA; his grandsons, Joel Crawford (Tosha) and Travis Crawford (Rachel); and his sister-in-law Jacquelyn Shaporka.
