He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph E. Shurman and Lottie M. Shurman (Bednarz); and his daughter Holly Lynn Gibson. He is survived by: his children, Sheila Leech (Rick) of Sumter, Edward J. Shurman Jr. of Bloomsburg and Greg Shurman (Maria) of Atlanta, Georgia; his son-in-law Robert J. Gibson of McCandless Township; his grandchildren, Joshua Leech, Terrah Mello (Caleb), Adam Stoelker, Sarah Stoelker, Zachary Gibson, Scott Shurman and Emma Shurman; and his great grandchildren, Levi, Chloe and Lily.
