He was predeceased by: his parent Cecil V.; his son Brian Cowder; and his sisters, Margaret "Peggy" Walker, Jeanne Stewart and Carolyn English.
He is survived by: his parent Irma Cowder (Huyck); his son Mark Cowder (Debbie) of Huntingdon; his grandchildren, Jason of Palmer, AK, Elizabeth of Seattle, WA and Evan of Spain; his nieces and nephews, Mariann Lee, Edith Lee of Calif, Cynthia of Newport, Elaine of State College, Sondra of Wilmington, NC, Beth of Charlotte, NC, Rick of Mill Creek, Doug of Huntingdon, Scott and Craig of Wilmington, DE; and his friend Dennis "Gomer" Pile of Virginia.
