She was predeceased by: her parents, Doren M. Schaeffer and Freeda L. Schaeffer (Farster); her husband Neal O. Abate; her son Terry L. G. Stitt; her granddaughter Jamie L. Stitt; her great grandchild Anthony J. Reefer; and her brother James E. Schaeffer.
She is survived by: her sons, James A. Stitt (Alice) of Whitesburg and D. Michael Stitt (Julie) of Kittanning; her grandchildren, Samantha Stitt (Phillip Wolfe), Joseph Stitt (Rachel Kijowski), Elana Staschak (Robert), Amy Pomaybo (Matthew) and Sara Dosch (Devon); her great grandchildren, Cory Black, Ava Dosch, Andi Dosch and Renna Wolfe; and her sister Linda Schaeffer of Jeannette.
