He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Parks and Helen Viola McElhaney Rumbaugh; his siblings, Harry, Walter, Robert, Richard, Jack, Donald Rumbaugh, Ruthie, Virginia Rumbaugh and Maxine Smith; and his sisters-in-law, Bonnie and Cathy Rumbaugh.

He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Lynn Rumbaugh; his children, Nancy Mueller (John) of East Butler, Michael Rumbaugh (Cindy) of Cresson and Steven Rumbaugh (Nora) of Myrtle Beach; his siblings, Alvin Rumbaugh (Tanya), Bernard Rumbaugh (Dianna), Dennis Rumbaugh (Leann) and Lois Rumbaugh; his siblings-in-law, Rachael, Emily, Dolly, Rose Rumbaugh and Bill Smith; and his grandchildren, David Mueller (Leeza), Heidi Hughes (Stephen), Adam Mueller, Caitlyn Drum (Joshua), Tyler Rumbaugh, Ashlee Rumbaugh and Lily Rumbaugh. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
