It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Van Buren of Butler, Pennsylvania, born in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 5, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mildred Bowser and Leroy Bowser; her husband Richard VanBuren; and her sister Dorothy Bowser. She is survived by: her children, Rick VanBuren (Jan) of New Castle, PA, Linda Kubiak (Steve) of Amherst, NH and Sally Wallace (Chris) of North Potomac, MD; and her sister Helen Kalan (Bob) of Mars, PA.. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
