The passing of Shirley A. Shook of Butler, Pennsylvania leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on February 18, 2025 at the age of 89. Though Shirley may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Shirley touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Shanor and Violet Deal (Thompson); and her husband Albert Robert Shook. She is survived by: her children, Connie L. Pakutz (Stan) of Butler, Robert W. Shook of Roanoke, VA and Suzanne E. Shook of Butler; and her grandchildren, Jessie Fitzgerald, Kerri Bryer, Brian Pakutz and Brian Shook. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; a half sister, four sisters-in-law; and three brothers-in-law.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Young Funeral Home, Ltd. (127 W Jefferson St, Butler, PA 16003). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (221 W New Castle St, Butler, PA 16001).
