He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Weckerly and Helen Kepple Weckerly; his former wife Leona "Jean" Weckerly (Callahan); his son Daniel Weckerly; his siblings, Ken Weckerly and Kathryn L. Jones; and his son-in-law Frank Brennan.

He is survived by: his wife Zoanne Stoughton Weckerly; his children, Diane Brennan of Butler, Tim Weckerly (Bill DeBow) of Longmont, CO, Susan Slupe (Randy) of Butler and Stacey Heider (Brian) of Butler; his grandchildren, Lewis Murray (Michelle) of St. Mary's, PA, Crystal Murray of Butler, Dalton Slupe of Butler and Austin Slupe of Butler; his great grandchildren, Lucas Murray and Grace Mackievich; his stepdaughter Melanie Rogers (John) of Birmingham, AL; and his brother Dr. William Weckerly (Sheila) of Florida.

He loved singing and recorded himself during the Covid pandemic so it could be played for people who were quarantined and in isolation.
