He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman R. Shay and Lucy Shay (Kohlmyer); and his wife Mary Ann Shay (Fabik). He is survived by: his children, Kristina Reiser (Christian) of Renfrew, Robert C. Shay, Jr. (Rhonda) of Haines City, FL and Steven Shay (Carrie) of Butler; and his siblings, Russell C. Shay (Shirley) of Slippery Rock and Luceil McKinney (Wade) of Deale, MD. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
