He was predeceased by: his parents, Larry E. Lilly, Sr. and Saundra Lee Davis (Benson). He is survived by: his wife Helen Marie Lilly (Smith); his children, Richard Lilly, Jr. and Stacey Lilly; and his brothers, Larry Lilly, Jr. and Robert Charles Berry. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
