He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Hertz and Josephine "Rothen" Hertz; his wife Shirley Ann Hertz (Alberti); his son Christopher Hertz; and his brother Robert Hertz.
He is survived by: his sons, Michael Hertz of Butler, Anthony Hertz (Kellie) of Butler and Stephen Hertz (Sherry) of Lewisberry; his granddaughters, Brianna and Abbey Hertz; his close friend Karen Myers of Butler; and his brother Ken Hertz of Maryland.
