It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ott S. Bechtel of Butler, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 18, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James D. Bechtel and Bernice Bechtel (Summers); and his siblings, Esther M. Kennedy, Doris Jean Bechtel and James Bechtel.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Bechtel (Henry) of Butler; his children, Jeffrey Bechtel (Kathy Jo) of Butler, Wendy Bechtel of Butler, Nicole Bechtel of Butler, Tracey Lapaglia (Justin) of Seven Fields and Michelle Mastropietro (Dana) of Scott Township; his grandchildren, Chase, Gage Lapaglia, Gianna, Jalena Mastropietro and Beau Bechtel; and his great grandchildren, Malia and Phoenix. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Young Funeral Home, Ltd. (127 W Jefferson St, Butler, PA 16003). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
