She was predeceased by: her parents, Moritz Lowy and Fanny Berlin Lowy; her husband Max Garbuny; her siblings, George Lowy and Nina Steg; and her niece Frances Steg.
She is survived by: her daughters, Vivian Prunier of Westminster, VT, Carole Vogel of Branchville, NJ and Ellen Garbuny of Butler, PA; her grandchildren, Sarah Prunier Law, Rachel Prunier, James Prunier, Joshua Vogel, Kathryn Vogel, Emily Best and Zachary Best; her great grandchildren, Nathan Law, River Law, Clara Vogel, Sasha Vogel, Jamison Markle, Mckenzie Markle, Abbie DiZazzo, Leela DiZazzo, Max Best, Zoe Schecter, Maximus Schecter, Aerin Prunier and Louisa Prunier; her nieces, Maureen Buzdygon and Irene Lowy; her nephew James Steg; and her granddaughters, Kristen McClean, Megan Coval, Candice Markle, Annie Coval and Gracie Coval.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Thompson - Miller Funeral Home, Inc. (124 E North St, Butler, PA 16001). A graveside service was held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 at 12:30 PM at the B'Nai Abraham Cemetery (265 Portman Rd, Butler, PA 16002).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Butler Public Library, 218 North McKean Street, Butler, PA 16001.
