He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Linda Shaffer (Smith) of Washington and Murl Shaffer; his wife Denise Shaffer (Cole); his children, Alex Shaffer and Sara Shaffer; his stepchildren, Ethan Mincer and Carlee Mincer; and his brother Steve Shaffer (Jean). He was also cherished by several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
