He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell E. Garris and Dorothy Garris (Curry); his wife Susan Rae Garris; his son Michael Pizor; and his brothers, Russell Garris, Jr. and Ronald Garris.
He is survived by: his children, Andrew "Pete" Garris of Butler and Sonja "Sonnie" Morrow (Robert) of North Hills; his grandchildren, Casey and John Morrow; and his sister Carol Nodge of Greensburg. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
