Gary R. Groves Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gary R. Groves of Butler, Pennsylvania, who passed away on March 24, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Groves (Wiles) and Gerald "Jake" Groves; his caregiver Karli; and his sisters, Margaretta Chrise and Wilda Greenawalt.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Groves (Pyle); his children, Richard Groves of Kent, OH, Jeffery Groves (Katherine) of Chicora, Rebecca Case (Steven) of Raleigh, NC and Jennifer Groves of Pittsburgh; his friend Bob Rupert of Chicora; his grandchildren, Stephen Groves (Melanie), Lauren Stewart (Dylan), Leah Balk (Dan), Aprille Metcalf (John), Eric Case and Lynzy Groves; his great grandchildren, Evan, Madison Groves, Emma, Brayden Balk, Caleb and Alice Metcalf; his siblings, Rita Walborn of Oroville, CA and Lloyd Groves (Sally) of Canton, OH; and his siblings-in-law, Fred Greenawalt of Chicora and Marlene Moore of Karns City. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
