He was predeceased by: his parents, Gail Hunter and Janet Hunter (Howe); and his sister-in-law Joan Hunter. He is survived by: his wife Helen of Kinzua Healthcare; his brothers, Robert (Debbie) of Scandia, PA and Ron Hunter of Lander, PA; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Pierson of Warren, PA and JoAnn Elmquist of Warren, PA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

“Sincerest condolences and prayers to the remaining Family. I knew Archie when he was a Warren Police Officer and later in life as he was on the Governor's Security Detail. That was in Harrisburg, PA at the Penn Harris Convention Center. All who knew this wonderful man, admired and respected him. He was truly a "gentle giant" and will be missed.”
