He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred W. Holmes, Sr. and Grace Holmes (Blair); and his grandfather Fred Wilson Holmes, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Geraldine T. Holmes (Kler); his children, Deborah Neigh (John) of Butler and Rodney Holmes (Sandra) of Washington Co; and his stepbrother Gordon Holmes. He is also survived by his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He always made me feel important and loved and valued – even when he no longer knew who I was – his kindness and interest in others were stronger than Alzheimer's disease.
