She was predeceased by: her parents, Ross Covert and Mary Covert (Kay); and her siblings, Edna, Helen, Dorothie, Betty, Lynn and Dave.
She is survived by: her husband Dale Birckbichler; her sons, Chris Birckbichler (Gloria), Scott Birckbichler (Kimberly) and Kurt Birckbichler (Amy); her grandchildren, Brooke, Jenna, Nasir, Lauren, Mason Birckbichler, Joshua Warburton and Leah Dunmyre; and her brothers, Lee and Orrin Covert. She is also survived by five great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to UPMC Children's Hospital Foundation or the Alzheimer's Association.
