He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo A. Smith and Elizabeth A. Shoemaker Smith; and his brothers, Daniel J. Smith and Scott E. Smith. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen M. McCracken Smith; his children, Kelly A. McGrath (Alan) of Butler, Matthew B. Smith of Butler and Brent A. Smith of Butler; his granddaughters, Abigail and Lydia McGrath; his siblings, Linda Mamula of Canton and Craig Smith (Penny) of Grand Prairie, Texas; and his mother-in-law Joanne McCracken of Butler. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
