He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Weitzel and Nora Weitzel; his wife Violet Weitzel (Holt); his grandson Todd Urban; his son-in-law John Urban; and his siblings, Clark, Ray, Clair, Arthur, Dwight, Victor, Elton, Gladys Zanicky (Weitzel) and Esther Hunter (Weitzel).
He is survived by: his children, Braden Weitzel II (Lori), Mary Ellen Urban, Bradene Kaltenbach (Michael) and Rae Weitzel; his grandchildren, Klaressa McGill, Braden Weitzel III (Carly), Garrett Weitzel (Tonya), Jacob, Faith and Evan Kaltenbach; his great grandchildren, Jessica McGill and Mary Elizabeth Chapman (Jeff); and his great great grandchildren, Ryder John and Raelynn Violet Chapman. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
