He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis H. Gardina and Augustine G. "Augie" Sassone Gardina. He is survived by: his brother John Gardina of Butler; and his niece Adrienne Gardina of Harrisburg.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to The Society of St. Vincent de Paul, 146 N. Monroe St., Butler, PA 16001.
