He was predeceased by: his brother Tony; his parents, Hubert Heitzer and Betty Heitzer (Sintz); his wife Shirley Devore; and his siblings, Larry Heitzer and Theresa Deal.
He is survived by: his son Eric P. Heitzer; and his siblings, Martha West (John), Rosemary Heitzer, Patty Beck (Ed), Rita Pritts (Jim), Emily Heitzer, Elizabeth Rosellini (Jeff) and Michael Heitzer (Joyce). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 6:45 PM at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc. (124 E North St, Butler, PA 16001). The military honors will be held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the All Saints Parish - St. Peter (127 Franklin St, Butler, PA 16001).
