He was predeceased by: his parent Michael Cygan; and his siblings, Michael Cygan, John Cygan, George Cygan, Mary Yurkovich, Catherine Daugherty and Ann Russo.
He is survived by: his parent Anna Bachura Cygan; his wife Norma Jeanne Pifer Cygan of Butler; his children, Andy Cygan of Butler, William Cygan of Pittsburgh, Doug Cygan (Jenny) of Butler, Carol Ibarra (John) of Butler, Amy Jackson (William) of Lyndora and Mark Cygan (Millie) of Lakeland, FL; his stepchildren, Donna Kowalkowski (Frank) of Meridian, Susan Steffy of Butler, David Burnside (Laura) of Richmond, VA, Matthew Clair Burnside (Audra) of Lutz, FL and Brian K. Burnside (Sandra) of Butler; and his sister Helen Puvak (Andrew) of Butler. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
