She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Akerson and Mildred Akerson; her sister Letha Cabalar; her brother-in-law Luciano Cabalar; her nephew Antonio Cabalar; and her former husband Warren Skidgel.
She is survived by: her daughter Sheila; her son-in-law Charles; her grandchildren, Melanie, Charles, Michael, Brianna, Connor, Anthony, Adam, Kaitlyn, Gianna, John and Alyssa; her great grandchild Audriana; her sister Erma Tanzosh; her brothers-in-law, Charles Hallett and Douglas; and also Doreen Hallett. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be Friday, July 13th, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 N. 5th Street, Stroudsburg with Pastor Margie Good officiating Entombment immediately following at Prospect Cemetery Her family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Alzheimer's Association 57 N Franklin Street #1, Wilkes Barre PA 18701.
