He was predeceased by: his parents, Harper Holgate and Edna Holgate (Williams). He is survived by: his wife Cathy L. (Transue); his daughter Jennifer Holgate Stender of Fond; his grandchildren, Kassidy Holgate, Logan Stender, Savannah Stender, Garrett Stender, Summer Stender, Brittany McCabe, Krista Johnson, Emily Johnson, Nichole Johnson, Melody Ledford, Nathaniel John, Brooklyn Evans, Christopher Evans and Paige Arnold; his sisters, Deborah Graham of Carbondale and Sandy Holgate of Jessup; and his pet Beau. He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances may be made to Mountain Stream Baptist Church or to an animal rescue of one's choice.
