He was predeceased by: his parents, Ord A. Coble and Jane Coble (Biss); his daughter Terri Snyder (Coble); his daughters-in-law, Brenda Coble (Clark) and Christy Coble (Munkel); and his siblings, Helen Weaver, Elva Coble, Janet Tajgiszer, Fred Coble, Randy Coble and Bob Coble.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Coble (Morley); his sons, Dennis Coble, Richard Coble Jr. (Tara) of Tappahannock, VA and Jeffery Coble (Lisa) of Woodbridge, VA; his son-in-law Mike Snyder; and his siblings, Jean Stauffer (Dick), Betty Coble, Allen Coble (Toki), Donald Coble (Sylvia), Ronald Coble (Nancy), Floyd "Ken" Coble (Barb) and Kathleen Hartman (Art). He is also survived by seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
