She was predeceased by: her parents, Horton Vanderpool and Dorothy May Bailey Vanderpool; her husband Lewis Barber; her sons, Ronnie Bailey and Horton Bailey; her son-in-law Edward Madigan; her siblings, William "Billy" Vanderpool, Margaret Wittig Johnson and Eunice Fessenden; and her great great grandchildren, Cameron Michael James Armitage and Daryl Scott Merritt.
She is survived by: her children, Kenneth (Kandy), Richard, Jesse Barber (Tammy), James (Cathy), Dorothy (Kenneth), Bonnie (Richard), Lillian (Wilbur), Beverly (Frank), Rose Kipp (Leo) and Rita; and her siblings, Molly, Damie, Doris Lewis and Myron (Rose). She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
