It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Pete Maropis of Burgettstown, Pennsylvania, born in Langeloth, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 16, 2021, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Speros Maropis and Argero Maropis; his son Pete; and his brothers, Angelo, Chris, Nick and George.
He is survived by: his wife Marguerite; his sons, Mike (Debbie) and Patrick (David Butler); his daughter-in-law Kathy; his grandchildren, Pete, Matthew (Kayla), Michal Jane Newman (Joseph) and Derek (Brooke); his great grandchild Mia; and his siblings, Freida Sprando and Petro (Despina). He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
