It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janis G. Shope of Burgettstown, Pennsylvania, born in Erie, Pennsylvania, who passed away on March 6, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Gennaro Cirino and Margaret Milletto Cirino; her husband Melvin George Shope Sr.; her children, Tami Shope of Corry, PA, Kellie Gordon (Bruce) of Avella, Daniel Shope (Margaret) of San Antonio, TX and Melvin Shope Jr. of Avella; her sisters, Carol "Kay" Blair and Sharon Thompson; her sister-in-law Marie Cirino; her son William "Bill" Shope; her granddaughters, Beth Shope, Patricia "Pat" Nye and Carrie Devies; and her siblings, Lynn Tamasa and Eugene Cirino.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
