It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Iris Elaine Mirich of Burgettstown, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 8, 2024, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Pete Mirich; her parents, Karl Windsheimer and Alma Slopek Windsheimer; her siblings, Ken, Richard, Robert Windsheimer and Shirley Bender (Joseph); her brother-in-law Sam Matesic; her children, John Puskar (Jennifer) of South Park, Jennifer Borelli (Patrick) of Burgettstown, Tara Kay Race (Harold), Ray "Bo" Mirich (Marcy) of Burgettstown and Mandy Squire (Leo) of Cranberry Twp; and her grandchildren, Abby, Ally, William, Michael Puskar, Sophia, Gianni Borelli, Autumn, Taylor Race, Cole, Bodie Mirich, Calvin Squire, Louis and Glory Friedl.

She is survived by: her siblings, Jean Matesic, Ronald Windsheimer (Joanne) and Arthur "Junior" Windsheimer (Darlene); and her siblings-in-law, Michael Mirich (Sheila) and Judy Windsheimer.

Visitation was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Young Funeral Home (23 Erie Mine Rd, Burgettstown, PA 15021). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies (1158 Morgan Rd, Bridgeville, PA 15017).
