It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cathryne Helen Edwards of Burgettstown, Pennsylvania, born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 28, 2021, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Burley George and Lillian George; and her sister Nadine Dorbin. She is survived by: her husband James Leroy Edwards, Jr.; her sons, Colonel Scott Douglas Edwards, Sean R. Edwards of Hanover Twp, Jaison D. Edwards (Johanna Wojtaszek) of Wintersville, OH and Kirby L. Edwards of Munhall; her grandchildren, Zachary, Bryce, Nathanial, Corey, Joshua, Carrington, Melissa, Luc, Hannah, Ashlee, Lexee Edwards and CJ Horvwalt; her great grandchildren, Mya, Danielle Edwards, Austin, Kylee Ganzy and Nova Lynn Thomas; and her sister Leah George. She is also survived by close friends called her, was an avid animal advocate and rescued over 24 animals.
Memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Animal Rescue League and the Alzheimers Association supporting research in Alzheimers care and treatment.
