He is survived by: his wife Mary Val Gene Schuler (Hertrick) of Bulger; his children, Joseph Schuler of Joffre, Jeannine Schuler of Burgettstown, Laura Schuler (Jon Heilman) of Alabama, Susan Dugas of Slovan and Amy Schuler-Shaw (Ed) of Bulger; his grandchildren, Joseph M. Schuler (Jeannine), Thomas A. Schuler, David J. Schuler (Mandy), Dennis C. McCracken, Leigh Anne McGivern (Phil), Dr. Sarah Serafini (Mario), Boyd K. Barker (Fiona), Matthew J. Dugas (Kate), Mallory A. Kairys (Tyler), Sally C. Lonchar (Justin) and Maxwell E. Shaw; his great grandchildren, David, Julianna, Shannon, Maggie McGivern, Lucano, Camilo Serafini, Bodhi Barker IV, James, John (Jack) and Genevieve Dugas; and his brothers, Robert Schuler (Rose Marie) and Louis Schuler (Marie).
