He is survived by: his wife Nancy Dougherty Lavin; his children, Suzanne O'Connor (Tom), Julie Flaherty (Danny), Thomas Lavin (Tara), Ted Lavin (Jennifer) and Caroline Lavin; and his siblings, Theresa Welsh (Gus), John Lavin (Paula) and Joseph Lavin (Miriam). He is also survived by family and many friends.
