He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Marie Herd and John Herd; his sister Janet Herd Kirch; his wife Sally Oldt Herd of Easton, PA.; his children, Nancy Herd Hirschfeld (Bill), Carolyn Herd Robertson (Rob) and John James Herd II; his grandchildren, Sarah Hirschfeld Wilson (Tom), William J. Hirschfeld, Jr., Bruce Herd Robertson, Jane Campbell Robertson, John James Herd III and Joseph Teti Herd; and his great grandchild Arlo Theodore Wilson. He was also cherished by his family and friends.
