He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Joan M. Leighton Stanton; his children, Joan Marcozzi (Anthony), Lisa Purcell (Martin), Thomas P. Jr (Maria) and James P. Stanton, Jr.; his stepchildren, Carl T., Jeffrey W., William and Joanne Leighton; and his siblings, Jack Stanton and Lawrence Stanton. He was also cherished by 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, and 10 step grandchildren.
