She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Harold Thornton and Arcola Thornton; her siblings, Harold, Jr., Eric, William Thornton (Clara), Marietta Harris (Samuel), Andre Thornton (Gail), Gregory Thornton (Sandra) and Theresa Thornton; her children, Welton F. Grooms, Jr. (Lucrecia), Candice R. Brown and Christopher R. Grooms; and her sisters, Julie Weitzen and Barbara Moffatt. She was also cherished by great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, friends.
