He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter J. Kerner, Sr. and Helen M. Kerner (Graff); his daughters, Kathleen M. Simcox and Joann F. Morrione; his grandson Jesse M. Hoffman; and his siblings, Bill Kerner, Peter Kerner Jr., Henry Kerner, Helen Madeline Kerner and Mary Peter.
He is survived by: his wife Catherine A. Kerner; his children, Marlene H. Hoffman (Barry Bosket), Edward L. Kerner, Jr. (Kathleen M.) and Diane L. Kerner; his grandchildren, Nicole Saylor, Amanda Hoffman, Donald Harkin, Kelly Will, Anthony Kerner, Jonathan Harkin, Joseph Morrione, Nicholas Morrione, Victoria Cordero, Savanna Kerner, Edward Curry III, Shayna Curry and Hailee Morrione; and his great grandchildren, Logan, Christian, Bradley, Devin, Michael, Mila, Alexis, Lydia, Jaxon, Ella, James and Maple.
