He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Nancy Boyd Hastings (Ann); his parents, Daniel O. Hastings Jr. and Louise B. Hastings; and his sons, David Jr., John and Peter. He was also cherished by eleven grandchildren/step-grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, a memorial service will be planned for some time in 2021.
