It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Melvin Gene Baxter of Brownsville, Pennsylvania, born in Fostoria, Ohio, who passed away on July 9, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Baxter and Mary Baxter (Graham); his son Gregory Gene Baxter (New Orleans); and his siblings, Robert Baxter of Risingsun, OH and Helen Tretter.
He is survived by: his children, Eric Bradley (Fostoria), Leah Elizabeth Bierer and Rachael Anne Morrison (Casey); his grandchildren, Terry (Kayla), Levi, Christopher, Lizzy and Collins; and his great grandchildren, Ryder, Violet and Grayson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In Lieu of flowers, family requested that donations be made to TEAMHUMANITY, Brownsville, (teamhumanityllc.org), which continues the work with kids that Mel so enjoyed.
