He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gerak and Genevieve Gerak (Shesko); and his sister Debra. He is survived by: his wife Yolanda "Cookie" (Yarnavick); his children, Lisa (Mark Thomas) and John M. Gerak Jr. (Karen); and his grandchildren, Seth Thomas, Madison "Madi" Gerak and Landie Gerak.
