He is survived by: his children, Emerson E. Nichols (Dell) of High Point, NC, Ralph E. Nichols (Cathy) of Augusta, GA and Rhonda K. Hynek (Rudy) of Mt. Pleasant; his grandchildren, Jason Nichols (Jenn), Kelly Nichols, Kendra DeBari (Ryan), Phillip Nichols, Brian Nichols, Breanne Hynek Dunn (Craig), Rudy Hynek and Raymond Hynek; and his sister Almeda 'Peach Sala of Pittsburgh. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
