With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bernice C. Stem of Brownstown, Pennsylvania, born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 17, 2022 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Hahn and Anna Hahn (Sabo); her siblings, Robert, J. Paul, Leo, Anna Smith, Freda Smith and Bobby; her husband Richard J. Stem; and her son Mark Stem.
She is survived by: her sons, Richard G. (Beth), David (Karen), Robert (Elaine) and Bryan (Joyce); her daughter-in-law Anita Stem; her sister-in-law Ann Hahn; her grandchildren, Sarah Riggle (Josh), David (Katie), Joseph, Richard (Ashley), Maggie, Lauren, Clare Mayer (Benjamin), Emily Varga (Zachary), Rebecca and Michael; her great grandchildren, Alexa, Aiden, Evan Riggle and Richelle Stem; and her niece Mary Ann Burgess (Mim). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made of Bernice Stem to St. Vincent DePaul Society or to St. Michael Catholic Church in Brownstown.
