He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Sr. Mankin and Marion Mankin; his brothers, Walter and James Mankin; and his former wife Burnis Young Mankin.
He is survived by: his wife Judith Mankin; his sons, Richard and Chuck Mankin (Arlene); his stepchildren, Robert Miller and Leeanne Miller; and his pet Tawny. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Leader Dog School for the Blind, Rochester, MI or the American Cancer Society.
