He was predeceased by: his son Harry B.; his parents, Marion Spearing and Harry Spearing; and his brothers, Joseph (Sandy) and Charles.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria M. Spearing; his daughters, Diane Peterman (Howard), Gloria Ann McAndrews (Robert) and Lisa Benson (Joseph); his grandchildren, Danny (Lyndsey), Bobby (Pam), Chris, Ryan (Vanessa) and Olivia; and his sister Patricia Milaccio. He is also survived by his six great-grandchildren.
